This MobileMonday Network is of and for interested stakeholders in the mobile industry and community on the MobileMonday Platform. It covers mainly event handling, best practice contributions by the members, announcements of other mobile/digital/web/online/media related events, tips and tricks by the community, feedback and general discussion about all aspects of mobile here on the MobileMonday Network. MobileMonday's role is to facilitate a healthy environment for 'mobilists' to engage with each other and MobileMonday organizers. We, the organizers as well as the members (named 'followers') are also here to provide information about the roadmap for MobileMonday in the future, feature and release updates and platform-wide announcements on the platform. These guidelines, along with our Terms of Service, are designed to ensure that everyone here has a great experience and gets the most out of MobileMonday.
In order to make this MobileMonday Network work, here's what this community needs from you:
In order to be a member of this MobileMonday Network, you must sign up with a valid email address. We encourage you to use your real name rather than a unclear identity (i.e. "John Doe" rather than "theCoolBoy"). We also prefer to see an image of YOU and not your 'dog'. Even this is not a madatory feature, we will delete company logos or other (likely) trademark images as your profile photo. We, the organizers, reserve the right to delete inappropriate profiles! Limiting membership to active Members keeps the on- and offline conversations constructive and means no one has to deal with anonymous trolls.
Without constructive feedback and debate, we won't be able to achieve our collective goal of enabling Members to get the most out of MobileMonday. Without respect and civility, constructive feedback and debate is impossible. Therefore, respect and civility need to be the hallmarks of this community.
Share what you know and help out other 'mobilists' where you can. Being generous with your time and knowledge can pay dividends now and in the future.
It's possible that there's already a conversation taking place about a topic you want to discuss and keeping it all in one place makes it easier for everyone who's interested. The areas to post discussions are our blog area as well as our group section. Looking for friends is easy (with their given name) under Participate (Membersearch).
Keep your posts on-topic and in the correct space. The Download section is reserved for materials of past events and restricted to organizers. Content published there by others will get deleted, just Comments will stay, if appropriate. Keep any other comments relevant to the content they're attached to. Drive-by comments with no substance don't add to the conversation, they just make it harder to follow. Our administrators - all fellow MoMo organizers - will reserve the right to remove off-topic comments and posts at their discretion in order to keep the conversation relevant.
This is not the place to directly advertise services, solicit business, drop affiliate links or recruit new members to your own Business (Network). Linking to your profile page, your business URL or your blog or similar is fine, but linking to it repeatedly on comment walls or as a signature on forum posts or replies is not. In addition we have created a jobboard group where you are encouraged to advertise jobs!
Making personal attacks, insulting other members, or discussing a specific organizer, member of the MobileMonday Network in a negative way is not ok. The two golden rules are: if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all; and treat others as you'd like them to treat you.
Post Private InformationDo not publicly reveal information like your email address, phone numbers or addresses.
Spam is posting the same message repeatedly across the MobileMonday Network. Spam is writing the same post or comment over and over again. Spam is sending the same message to multiple members. Spam is promoting or advertising external services, websites or other products. Please don't spam.
Private messages to MobileMonday organizers that relate to support (i.e. "how do I do X?" or "what is the status of XYZ?") will only be answered when done to the right address, which is Report an Issue on the bottom link (in the blue area) on each page. We know that sounds harsh, but if we get pulled in too many different directions, we won't be able to serve anyone well.
If it wasn't obvious, violating any of these guidelines above will result in suspension or ban you from the MobileMonday Network. Making this a safe, constructive place to exchange information is our top priority.
Additionally, threads that are not in blogs or groups and therefore in the wrong section will be deleted, without notice. To keep the sanity, MobileMonday also reserves the right to close any discussion thread for any reason and to delete inappropriate content. In rare circumstances, MobileMonday may delete information from the blogs or groups. We're not looking to censor anyone, but it's our responsibility to ensure the integrity of the MoMo Network and we take that very seriously.
